Served with C Troop 12th Cav 3rd Armored Division in Budingen, Germany from Oct 1966 to March 1969 as a tank mechanic. Did not care much for the Army but loved my job and my after duty hour activities – especially my last 18 months.

was at buell aug 22,1968 and was with delta when the
enginers and our company constructed the bunkers
and laid the wire for crook.was glad we weren’t therefor
the ground assault. l remember a dozer operator
requesting a couple troops to ride shotgun as a
came up out of the ground and ran across the blown up
bridge and disappeared. Was funny that the minute we
arrived in the choppers that whores and beer sellers
appeared on the scene.some secret fire base i think
it was laid out on the edge of bunker complex.

I was an Air Force Radar(AC&W)Operator 620 TCS Monkey
Mountain I Corp Feb26’70-Jan15’71. Everytime we get into a
war I end up ‘going back to VietNam,’ this time by Internet!
Otherwise, I’m a middle-aged Information Technology guy who
has had the good fortune of having a great family. (Nice
Site.)
