Dave, I’m Russ and was with the 725TH radar section at Cu Chi. I went Go Da Hau FSB many times from Mar 69-Feb70. I repaired the Q-4’s and the PPS-5’s and PPS-4’S. I helped call in artillery once when the mortar tracking Q-4 was waiting parts with the warrent officer for the set. Lots of fun that night on that wooden tower the Q-4 used. I didn’t fix any of the 25’s like you operated but Smitty did and I bet you met him. He was a tall slim boy from Oklahoma. He’s no longer slim but he visits me sometimes in Las Vegas which is my home. I have his e-mail address if you want it. I went to most of the Fire Support Bases and really enjoyed it, except for the part about being scared xxxxless all the time. Ha You guys did a great job and really helped the units over there at the time and if no one has ever said it. THANKS ALOT………..Russ

Dave, just came across your site. I was your CO (green 2Lt at the time) when the 5 person team brought the TPS-25 over to Vietnam. The funny story I remember is how I made us secure a perimeter (armed to the teeth) around the C- 130 when it landed at Bien Hoa. Then saw everybody laughing at us for even trying to do that. Thanks for a first hand look into the real Nam I have heard so little about from those who served.(The news press is for profit,so you don’t always get the real story) As it happens I was at home making the transmissons for the huey’s and s-64 cargo choppers during the war and often wanted to say thanks for all of you who gave your all to the USA. “THANKS” Fantastic site and a renewed respect for all of you.

I was a medic with the 65th Engineers in Cu Chi 6/67 – 6/68. I would like to make contact with anyone who served then, especially in Charlie Comnpany. Dave…from the comments your work and research pleases many. Nice Job! I was searching for “A Battery of the 1/26th FA TAB attached to V Corps.” Giessen Germany was our location. Headquarters was in Darmnstadt and “B” I think was aslo in Giessen in the depot area. I was there May of 1970 through Sept of 1971. Wow! The memories are great and the experience was outstanding. Mine was 93F20…Artillary Ballastic Meteorologist. What a great start for my career…After the 2 year military stint it was on to television broadcasting weather in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Cleveland, Ohio, Chicago, Illinois, and now FOX6 XETV in San Diego, California. Spent a few days with the 25th and with Tm96 in the Delta, I’ve discovered the reunions are great and it is through websites like yours that brings us together. We have our memories, when you exchange them with your others who served with you they become High Definition (HD) and more names and memories become more vivid and fullfiling for everyone. A nice start hope you keep it going and alive. Get enough of us together, virtually, you would have quite a story.

This brings back old memories. I was with Charlie Company 65th Engr. from feb. 68 to mar. 1969. I was the tank commander of C-100. Crew members were Tony Boden, Buddy Bradford, Navaro. Wish I knew what all of them are doing.

The 594th was reactivated in 1950 at was then Cp. Polk. La it was orginally an all Black unit. It was intergrated in 1952 in Germany.It was then at Y79 which later was changed to Coleman Bks. Manheim Germany. The unit moved to Rivers Bks. just outside of Geissen germany in 1953.Would like to hear from anyone who remembers this unit or was assigned to it. By the way i remember the 3/18 Arty. while I was at An khe with the 1st. Air Cav. in 1966 in the Central Highland Area. We must never forget the IA DRANG VALLEY BATTLE>

I was on NuiBaDen July71-Feb72.It was a radio relay site.I was with the 25th. attached to the 18th ArvnDiv.The hill was overrun April 8th 1972. Two great guys were kia.Anyone that was on NuiBaDen that has pictures or pictures of it now I would love to see. Anyone who was there I would like to hear from also. just a few words to hear what we did.fist i was drafted,in 1967 went to viet nan in 1968-1969.went to dng tang.then went on navy ships.my unit was co. b 3ban.47 inf. 9th.div.i wasn,t inf.but i went out in the field.i was wounded 4 times the purple heart with 3 oak leaf cluster.the point is all viet nam verterns are war heros.was in the mekong delta for 1 year.came back awas a body excourt.i am 58 year old and still think about the live dead.all viet nan vet or special people.

March 1968 to March 1969 I was in Bravo battery of 2/13
Arty. "THE RED DRAGON CLAN" (M102 105's)... We were 23rd
Arty group but our whole battalion was assigned to the 25th
ID under 7/11 Arty control. We were in 25th ID's rotation
for "Musical FSB's". Patton II, Bragg II, Buell III, lots I
don't remember, plus some spots that never even got names.
Anybody remember us...?
