This is the type aircraft that flew us out of the short airstrip at the Cu Chi base camp. The one I flew on, however, wasn’t as pretty. As we were boarding, I noticed quite a few patches in the aluminum skin, most sporting zinc chromate primer. Battle damage, I guess. One thing for sure: when the two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engines were wound up and the two turbojet engines maxed out, that sucker really moved out smartly! (January,1969)
