A great web site and a great story, well written that captures the essence of
the Vietnam experience. I served in the 935th Medical Detachment (a psychiatric
unit) in Long Binh in 1968. The fear, the bunkers,
incoming, a year of conflicting emotions, R&R, and finally taking off and
clearing 20,000 feet on the best flight any of us have or will ever take, but
only to be followed up by a country in which we were rewarded with indifference
and told not to put our Vietnam service on our resumes because it would
probably be held against us in the job market - and we were the lucky ones. We
put our lives together - survived and prospered. And, for you
and your bride, congratulations on your 30th anniversary.

Dave: I stumbled across your website & enjoyed looking at your camping pics. Obviously, you like camping and taking pictures of
your favorite spots. It occurred to me you might like to earn a little money
for what you do. It seems I'm about always searching for good photos (like some
of those you shot) that are scenic and yet illustrate an ideal RV camping
experience. I need those pics for the front covers of
our camping guides when they are updated. For example, just now I am completing
research on our western edition of Camping on a Shoestring, a camping guidebook
that lists only campgrounds with fees of $10 or less. We have a similar eastern
edition; we have a book titled Camping With the Corps
of Engineers (obviously, listing only Corps parks), and of course, our
best-seller, Guide to Free Camping. Are you interested in seeing your pictures
appear on a few book covers? We're a small publishing company without a big
budget, but we pay $100 for a photo that we can use as the focal point of one
of our books. If you are, please let me know, either by e-mail or by phoning
direct at 219-875-8618 (Elkhart, IN). Don

It's always good to hear about another Tri-Pacer
lover. I have a PA-22-150 1956. Its
in really nice condition. With luck we will fly a lifetime. Have a nice
holiday. PS. would you happen to know where I could find a weights & ballance sheet? Thanks, Steve
